This is an annual event here in Western Illinois. Each year at this time of year the eagles come to town and feed out of the dam by Keokuk. I took a lot of pictures, but look how close I ame to these guys!!! One flew off the tree and right over me and I didn't have my camera ready. I felt so bad because they are so amazing in flight.

Love the picture of the eagles. I'm amazed at how close you are to them. I also love all I'm learning about Nauvoo from your post. Keep it up.
Donna
I showed this post to Jackson (he LOVES eagles) and he saId, "HOLY COW! THAT'S AWESOME! Lucky Aunt Marcia!"
That is an amazing sight. We see lots of eagles here in Mongolia, but not all at the same time. Maybe our eagles fly to Nauvoo for a warmer ice storm!
Dean would have LOVED to see that. He loves to watch eagles in the wild (rather than a zoo or bird refuge).
Marcia, I appreciate your posts so much. We went to Nauvoo, but there is so much history there that we didn't get all of it in our brief trip. I just want you to know that I love reading about all the different buildings and who they belonged to. Thank you for enlightening me on the history of Nauvoo. I look forward to more. I do think the Eagles are pretty cool too.
PS...Happy Birthday on Sunday!!!!
